Our friends from City and County came to see us on Saturday and after welcoming the players and offering of refreshments, (thank you to the very able Kath) we commenced our game just after 2.00 pm.

It was a very cat and mouse game with Banbury just winning overall. I lost on my rink but must give credit to our opponents who played very well indeed, and I can't wait for our next encounter.

My thanks to the 7 players that stood in so that we could play all six rinks. It is a far better atmosphere than when there are only 5 rinks playing. I think and prefer, that where possible all those who dutifully put their names down to play, should play and join in the fun.

A special thanks to Jackie for her formula 1 drive to come and play at the last minute due to an Oxford player not being collected.

Name sheet is now on the notice board to play Witney town on Sunday the 28th of January at 2.00pm.

There is allso a sheet to place your names on for hub duties serving tea/coffee and biscuits to friends and visitors who may wish to come and play or watch.

Best regards

Tony Smith (team captain)
